Solid Core Composite Doors are made from multiple layers of laminated timber with either uPVC, ABS or Fiberglass Skins. 

These multiple layers of timber are placed so that the grains are laid in different directions during the production of a Solid Core door.This process makes the door more structurally sound. 

Being made up of mainly timber, Solid Core composite door slabs are around twice as heavy as a foam filled GRP composite door.

As they are made mainly from wood, Solid Core Doors are also more environmentally friendly as they can be recycled at the end of their life.

With multiple layers of timber, Solid Core composite doors have a much higher strength door slab. 

For this reason Solid Core composite doors are the preferred choice of door by the vast majority of insurance companies.
